Running in parallel to the Perth cohort is our Brisbane program featuring 17 fabulous women. She Codes Plus is our six month tech program that provides an alternative learning pathway for women looking to enter or advance in the tech industry.
We are hosted at The Precinct, the home of innovation in Queensland (read about them here) for this program.
Over the next 6 months, these women will be learning HTML/CSS, Python, Django, React, Git, Agile, and more tech skills. They kicked off session one last Saturday for a social session at Newstead Studios before heading along to BeerOps Brisbane on Tuesday night.
This week they are learning HTML/CSS, led by Lead Mentor Reece Jocumsen, and will be building a personal portfolio website over the next few weeks. Personally, we can’t wait to see their creativity (we bet there will be at least one Taylor Swfit reference).
This program is possible thanks to platinum partners Rio Tinto, bronze partners Canva, and our venue partners The Precinct. These organisations are meaningfully moving the needle and investing in the development of diverse tech talent through funding scholarships and opportunities. Please join us in giving them a virtual round of applause.
