Position Overview: 

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, we are seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and self-organise in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving and communication skills are extremely important, our team mostly works remotely therefore written and verbal proactive communication is essential. A typical day could look like:

  • Picking up tasks off our Kanban board to work on, either backlog or project based
  • Collaborating with peers on solutions
  • Collaborating with the Customer Support team to understand customer needs
  • Reviewing peers merge requests, helping us maintain standards and best practices

We keep our meetings short, productive and we protect our extended working periods as much as possible.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in web development.

Skills and Experience: 

  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and Python.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with database technologies (E.g PostgreSql).
  • Ability to work independently and self-organise in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with video streaming, knowledge of HLS, DASH, WebRTC, FFmpeg
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch) and techniques.
  • Familiarity with C# and ASP.NET.
  • Experience with mobile applications (either native or hybrid frameworks)
