We are thrilled to unveil the 23 incredible women who are part of the Perth 2024/25 cohort. She Codes Plus is our six month tech program that provides an alternative learning pathway for women looking to enter or advance in the tech industry.
Over the next 6 months, these women will be learning HTML/CSS, Python, Django, React, Git, Agile, and more tech skills. They kicked off week one by attending BeerOps Perth, networking with 500+ developers from the local ecosystem, learning about jobs, opportunities and of course, picking up some swag.
This week they are learning HTML/CSS, led by Lead Mentor Jo Minney (did we tell you she built our website?), and will be building a personal portfolio website.
This program is possible thanks to platinum partners Rio Tinto, and bronze partners Canva, Matrix Data and Racing and Wagering WA (RWWA). These organisations are meaningfully moving the needle and investing in the development of diverse tech talent through funding scholarships and opportunities.
