She Codes has partnered with Visagio to deliver a one week, tech taster program dedicated to Data Science! Ideal for women who have some background experience in STEM, this program will be driven by data fundamentals with aspects of programming, algorithms and problem solving.
As a management consultancy with a different approach, Visagio carry out diagnosis, strategy design and organisational improvement, as well as providing support to implement and operationalise defined solutions through consultancy, interim management, technology and analytics services. Through this partnership, we aim to bridge the gap between industry and experience, providing a pathway for women to grow their careers or find new employment opportunities post program.
“We’re excited about this new partnership and opportunity for women to dive into a specific tech niche to grow their skills,” She Codes Founder, Kate Kirwin shares. “Having a heavy focus on Data, allows the women who have been to one of our events before, or studied previously in this field, to learn more about data science and what a career in that field might look like.”
Throughout the week, participants will learn the principles and key concepts of Analytics, Programming with Python, Algorithms and Data, Statistics and Problem Solving and Machine Learning in Practice.

The program will be running in Perth CBD from 19-23rd of October, and is open to women who have some experience in data science in the past and would like to brush up their skills. Fully funded scholarships are provided thanks to Spacecubed, New Industries WA and Visagio. We encourage anyone who is curious about Data, and keen to learn to apply for this program.
