Flash, our tech-taster, is coming back to the South West!

From the 10th-14th of February, we’ll be bringing our one-week tech taster course to the South West to teach and inspire a whole new community of women. With a bunch of fully-funded scholarship positions available, we’re looking for women who are interested in learning technical skills or upskilling their current tech knowledge.

Workshop Peer-to-Peer Mentoring

Thoroughly enjoyed learning the Flash course and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to gain more exposure within the emerging tech industry!”

“Flash was a fantastic introduction to the wide world of tech. I really enjoyed being with a group of women who were as eager to learn as I was. The mentors were fantastic—all were really approachable and very willing to help.”

Running over the course of one week at Bunbury’s premier coworking space Maker + Co, Flash teaches participants the basics of the key emerging fields in tech and thanks to our friends at New Industries WA and Spacecubed, this cohort is completely free! That’s $2,000 worth of content that women from the regions can enjoy at no cost.

So, what does the program entail?
Flash currently focuses on Python fundamentals, web development, algorithms, and data, as well as offering participants a glimpse into hardware, so you’ll be able to see which areas of tech interest you before taking your learning any further. See more here!

Wondering if the program is right for you?
Well, if you are new to tech, work in a non-technical role at a tech company, or just looking to learn new skills, Flash is the place for you. Offering beginner-friendly learning techniques and the opportunity to continue learning post-program, Flash provides an alternate pathway for women looking to see if the tech industry is right for them.
