5 reasons to refer our Plus program to a friend, colleague or family member

Nobody loses when it comes to kindness. And no act of kindness is too small. That’s why we’re encouraging our She Coders to share the word and help us inspire more women across the country.

Studies show that when people pay-it-forward with others or donate to charity the portion of their brain responsible for feelings of reward is triggered. The brain also releases feel-good chemicals and spurs you to perform more kind acts — something psychologists call “helper’s high.”

So, if you know someone who would be perfect for our Plus program, whether a friend, colleague or family member, share our information with them and reap some of the amazing benefits listed below!

Practising kindness feels better than eating chocolate!
Hard to believe, but it’s true – doing a good deed and being kind to others can make people happier than eating chocolate.

Pay it forward
Whether or not you believe in karma, the truth is that whatever you put out into the world, you’re bound to get back. By paying it forward, and doing something that has no benefit for you, but could mean the world to someone else, is guaranteed to give you good karma!

It helps you grow as a person
Realising that by sharing something simple with someone else could change their career, helps you recognise their needs and put them above your own. And what’s more, experts explain that as your feelings of social connectedness increase, so does your self-esteem. It’s a win, win!

You’ll have stronger relationships
Being a force for good in someone else’s life can help build a lasting bond with them. When you help others, you give off positive vibes, which can rub off on your peers and improve your relationships, according to a study by the National Institutes of Health.

You’ll feel empowered to take on the world!
Helping someone out can leave you feeling rewarded and fulfilled, and ready to take on the world.

And finally, kindness is contagious! So, share the word and keep paying it forward.
