She Codes Queensland finds a new home at The Precinct

The Precinct is our new home in Queensland thanks to a partnership with The Precinct. This partnership marks the beginning of the Brisbane Plus program for 2024/2025 which starts in just a few weeks time. The program is set to take on 17 women as they undertake a range of projects, attend weekly classes, and create meaningful connections, powering them to enter technical roles post-program.

Partnering with The Precinct felt like a natural home for She Codes, with a history that dates back to 2019 when we first started running one day workshop events in Queensland. Since then we have never strayed far from our home in Fortitude Valley, and are excited to renew a relationship for 2024.

Supported by Advance Queensland, The Precinct in Fortitude Valley really is the beating heart of innovation and tech in Brisbane. In addition to event space (surely you’ve seen pics of the impressive Stair Stadium), the venue also offers startup programs, free coworking for early-stage founders, meeting rooms, networking opportunities and office space.

We sat down with the team to ask why they are passionate about supporting this program, and Holly Hudson, The Program Manager shared that “The Precinct is incredibly excited to support She Codes as the Venue Partner in QLD for their six-month coding program to champion the next wave of technology-informed women and inspire them to enter tech careers. As QLD’s leading startup hub, we share the core goal of supporting entrepreneurs to ignite innovation through shared knowledge, community and support”.

We are so proud of our partnerships. By promoting diversity in tech, our partners not only enhance their reputation as an inclusive environment but also contribute to building more innovative and robust tech solutions. We firmly believe that diversity and innovation go hand in hand, are excited to see what upskilling talent will bring to the vibrant Brisbane tech ecosystem.

Ultimately, when we work together to support diversity through partnership, we’re not just changing statistics—we’re building a more inclusive future for everyone in tech.

The Precinct describes itself as the place where ambition comes to work, and we can’t wait to share our ambition of inspiring 100,000 women across Australia with the Queensland tech community.

Stay tuned for updates about the cohort selection for Brisbane which will be released very soon!
