She Codes welcomes all women. Women - Transgender and cisgender, all those who experience or have experienced oppression as women, including non-binary and gender non-conforming people and all those who identify as women. Self-definition is at the discretion of the individual

Yes. Unfortunately you must have your own laptop, with admin rights, to complete any of the above programs. -

Why are your programs for women only?
With only 28% of tech roles across Australia currently held by women, and 75% of the fastest growing jobs requiring tech skills, we’re passionate about bridging the gap for women, and providing them with an invitation and community to get started.

What's the difference between each program?
All our programs are free for all attendees, all that needs to be supplied is your own laptop, with admin rights! Workshops: These 1 day workshop gives you a taste of coding, with a choice of four different tutorials (Wordpress, HTML/CSS, Python, and Django!) to complete throughout the day. So, whether you want to build a website or code your very own computer game, the choice is yours! Lunch, cupcakes, and a stretch break are all provided. Attendees of all ages are allowed however under 18 year olds will need to have a guardian present. Flash: We have multiple versions of our Flash program; Foundations, Flash: Data, and Next. They are all in the similar format of Monday - Friday 9am till 5pm for one week; a tech taster, covering the basics of emerging fields. With a focus on Python fundamentals, data science basics, and web design. Plus: Want a career in tech? Try our 6-month part time course, which includes everything from beginner level to on the job web and app development. We work directly with industry partners providing you the connections you need to either kickstart your career, move industries or take the next step in your current role. -
